IN IT FOR THE MONEY
musicbank.net
The popular beat combo Oasis, showing a rare mercenary streak, have revealed that they will not play Glastonbury for less than £2.5 million.
In an interview with Radio One, Noel Gallagher commented: "Everybody should know I am doing it for the money", while suggesting that other bands only "...deserve four cans of lager and a crate of crisps for what they do."
Given that most of Oasis' new album has now been pirated and put up on Internet sites throughout the world, the brothers Gallagher might need every penny they can get. Sony Records is investigating and will be "taking action to close the sites down through the appropriate national authorities".
If only there was an appropriate national authority to shut down Noel Gallagher's big mouth....
