The guiding philosophy behind Special School is a desire to confront audiences with a whole range of unusual live performances without a single hint of tedious, self-indulgent timewasting. Forget seven hour DJ sets or 60-minute guitar solos: all artists taking part in Special School are being asked to play no more than twenty minutes of their best, most imaginative material.
