![]() Kev Hopper Formerly of cult art-rockers Stump (best known for their hit "Buffalo" and their collaboration with respected minimalist musician Holger Hiller), Kev Hopper has become a master of the ghostly singing saw, using it with aplomb alongside prepared bass guitar on records like the Whispering Foils and Saurus, both of which feature guest appearances from Sean O'Hagan (the High Llamas). Mr. Hopper has played his musical saw on modern-day freak show "The House of Astonishment" for Channel 5, a programme which also includes "a man who could stretch his neck skin over his face like a scarf." Kev likes 16% of Mike Oldfield's music. More info at www.kevhopper.freeserve.co.uk Listen to Iron Filings MP3 |
