SOPHIE WOOLLEY

Sophie Woolley is a very good writer and actress in London. She wrote the infamous D.J. Bird diaries in Sleaze Nation, documenting the rise and fall of a relentlessly evil porn-fi DJ groupie. She has contributed to the Shoreditch Twat and Dazed and Confused, as well as performing her character monologues at countless nightclubs and galleries, including the Barbican, the Eve Club and the Sonic Mook Experiment tour at the ICA and CCA in Glasgow.

She will be appearing in Jacques Peretti's Channel 4 TV series 'Nowhere' in the autumn and will be performing a new work at the Chris Ofili Exhibition 'Freedom' on July 10th at the Victoria Miro Gallery. Sophie is a featured artist on "modern love", a UK spoken word tour on love and modern relationships which was long-listed for an EMMA 2002 award for Best Theatre/Play and which tours to Europe with the British Council from Autumn 2002 to Spring 2003.

Sophie will compere Special School, hopefully also dropping in some of her satirical monologues.
